You may not like a situation or work. I used to not like Raw Material testing because of tidious chemical we use. But I put my heart into it and now I like it, Nalinin said to me. Nalinin is my mentor and she tells me about her experiences and helps me with any method questions and anything that I might not sure how to do! I couldn't belived what she said!because she is one of the most knowledgable people in my group! she knows everything!!She is just wonderful. What she said to me yesterday really touched me and made me think about can do's V.S can't do's. If you put your heart and soul into it, you will win the situation!
Yesterday, I got a phone call from one of my co-workers at the last company I worked for. Apparantely they are thinking to give a position in Research and Developement!!She called me to see if I am interested or not!!I am now tempted to choose! but I am pretty happy at Novopharm. Thinking!Thinking!
Also I got to meet more of my friend's friends visiting T.O. We ended up going to Marche for deseart! I enjoyed pleasent conversations and great waffle with mixed burry and strawberry, chocolate sauce and wipe cream on it!!. I should start burning those calories now!

Walk Away- Kelly Clarkson
Hiking on Sunday was refreshing. I couldn't believe I can walk that long and I owe it all to my suitable new shoes!! Apparantly with proper gears anything is possible!! A group of 6 of us walked from Leslie and Eglinton to College and Yonge.
Face to face communication and time makes misinterpretation via email or other means of communication to resolve. Time allows the parties to calm down and the relationship smooth at for a while. At least that's what I have learned from last night discussion in one of my social activities. Is there any correlation with sensitivity and keeping it professional?
Kelly Clarkson's new song will be another hit! She is the first artist who has had more than 4 hit songs in one CD release!Enjoy walk away!
You’ve got your mother and your brother
Every other undercover telling you what to say
You think I’m stupid but the truth is that it’s cupid
Baby loving you has made me insane
So before you point your finger
Get your hand off of my trigger
You need to know the situations getting old
And now the more you talk the less I can take
I’m looking for attention
Not another question
Should you stay or should you go
Well if you don’t have the answer
Why you still standing here
Hey, hey, hey, heyJust walk away
I waited here for you like a kid waiting after school
So tell me, how come you never showed
I gave you everything and never asked for anything
And look at me, I’m all alone
So before you start defending
Stop all your pretendingI know you know I know so what’s the point of being slow
Let’s get this show on the road today
I want a love
I want a fire
To feel the burn, my desires
I want a man by my side
Not a boy who runs and hides
Are you gonna fight for me, die for me
Live and breathe for me
Do you care for me
Cause if you don’t then just leave

Long weekend!
www.pool-and-billiards.com
So the long weekend is finally here!!It started from thursday night, girls night out, 5 girls having fun at Marche, talking about their lives and trying to have fun! After wards my 2 friends and I went to Deseart Place, to have tea and more cake!!we overdosed sugar that night!!Firday, my friend and I decided to try Elephant and Castle Bar, we went for lunch and the food was great!I would definately go there again. I always thought its an Indian place but actually it's a British place! After wards we decided to play some pool. The pool house was nice, I would have enjoyed more of my time there, if I really knew what I was doing!I basically suck at playing Biliard! I need practice for sure.
www.ontarioparks.com
Saturday, my friend and I decided to do some outdoorsy activity. So we decided to go to Darlington Provencial Park. We had a picnic by Lake Ontario! Next we decided to walk on the trail of Petticoat Creek Conservation Area. In summer I have been there several time, and its dreamy! It was very fresh and amazing yesterday as well. After wards we went for Boston Pizza, since I have heard about it alot but never got the chance to try!The food and the ambiance were both fine. I am going hiking with a group of my friends down DonVally track in Toronto today! I hope I can finish and not be dead by the end of it!!Till now, This weekend has been super fun and don't want to end it!

Bowling
www.southcoastcasino.com
I try to make each and every moment of my life worth while. To that end, I like to break my habits and try new things all the time. I have been watching alot of movies since last year. Thanks to my friend who has a magnificant collection of all different types of movies. I watch La Divorce on sunday. It is the story of coflict resolution of a couple with two different culture whom one wants to end the relationship and the other don't, and how they tried to resolve it as open-mindedly as possible. Aside from their problems were family affairs as well. It was an everyday story to some extent of relationships in real life. When in love, cultural differences seem to be minor however things can become truely hurtful at the times of conflict.
Last night, my friend and I decided to go bowling after nearly a year! It was my second time, and on contrer to my thought, that we would be bored, it was really fun. So many people were there!!I can't wait to go next time and hopefully I play better as time progresses;) Also I like to revist the idea of biliard night! It seems that these two activities are great for after work fun times. Does not consume alot of energy! But to my suprise, I am finding physical activity after work is not that bad after all!I was just not used to it.

10 commandments![]()
http://en.wikipedia.org
This coming weekend, is the long weekend. I can't stop dreaming about all the things I would like to do!!Well I already have planned my girls night out on Thursday night. But for once this long weekend is open to any opportunity. This week, I was reading Mark Twin's short stories. I found they are very logical and up to the point so far. I watched 10 commandments in two series last night and the night before. It had been a while since I really watched anything religious. It always makes me think, that if I was in that time, which way I would have chosen. To be with the prophets or to be with the groups against with the knowledge of that time?Would I have believed him and his message? This version of the movie had nice special effects. However, I honestly felt how frustrated Moses was when he was trying to convince people to BELIEVE! Believe in something that they can't see, just it's powers! Well, I think If I could think logical then I would have been with him and believing in God. But at the same time, is this belief because of I was scared of God and the punishment or was because I truly believed in him?

BBQ![]()
Yesterday, My friend and I were invited to our first BBQ party of 2006!! The BBQ facility was on the roof of a 27 storey tall building! It would have been more fun if the weather was warmer, but convinced that we are going to enjoy ourselves despite the cold weather, a group of fun seeking boys and girls stood by the grill! Afterwards we watched Sleepy Hollow, and I enjoyed Johnny Depp in that movie.

Fighting the Fire
www.ucalgary.ca
Yesterday, I had fire fighting training at my company. I signed up for this training since I am interested in learning about different emergancey responses of any kind from first aid, CPR and fire now. We learned virtually how to put down fires of all classes. There are 3 general classes of fire, A,B,C. I thought the following might be of interest to know!
Class A fires, is from the sources such as trash, paper, cloth, wood
Class B fires is from flammable liquid sources
Class C fires, is electrical fires
For class A, water distinguishers are used, but for class B and C, Co2 distinguishers are used.
The classes that a fire extinguisher can be used are written on the label of the fire extinguisher. For houses, fire extinguishers that can fight class A,B and C are recommended. Fire extinguishers are suppose to be inspected 6 years from the first purchase to be recharged and on the life time is only 12 years. The life time of Fire detectors for houses are only 10 years!!and nthe batteries need to be checked and changed every year when we change the clocks.
The important steps in using a fire ditinguishers are: PASS
P - pull the safety pin
A - aim at the base of the fire
S - squeeze the lever
S - sweep side to side at the base of the fire
The most interesting fact of yesterdays training was that fire extinguishers are only good for a short amount of time. Meaning that a 5 pound fire extinguisher can fight fire for 5 seconds. Meaning that a pound per second is the capacity of the fire extinguishers. Therefore it's a must that if you shoose to fight the fire yourself to have another person behind you with another fire extinguisher to back you up.

Where Is The Love - Black Eyed Peas
Black Eyed Peas is a fairly new group, I found that their music is a mixture of different cultures. This song hits me hard because I think it says what I like to say but with rythem. Enjoy.
What's wrong with the world mama?
People living like aint got no mamas
I think the whole worlds addicted to the drama
Only attracted to the things that bring you trauma
Overseas yeah we tryin to stop terrorism
But we still got terrorists here livin
In the USA the big CIA the Bloodz and the Crips and the KKK
But if you only have love for your own race
Then you only leave space to discriminate
And to discriminate only generates hate
And if you hatin you're bound to get irate
Yeah madness is what you demonstrate
And that's exactly how anger works and operates
You gotta have love just to set it straight
Take control of your mind and meditate
Let your soul gravitate to the love y'all
People killing people dying
Children hurtin you hear them crying
Can you practice what you preach
Would you turn the other cheek?
Father Father Father help us
Send some guidance from above
Cause people got me got me questioning
Where is the love?
It just ain't the same all ways have changed
New days are strange is the world the insane?
If love and peace so strong
Why are there pieces of love that don't belong
Nations dropping bombs
Chemical gases filling lungs of little ones
With ongoing suffering
As the youth die young
So ask yourself is the loving really strong?
So I can ask myself really what is going wrong
With this world that we living in
People keep on giving in
Makin wrong decisions
Only visions of them livin and
Not respecting each other
Deny thy brother
The wars' going on but the reasons' undercover
The truth is kept secret
Swept under the rug
If you never know truth
Then you never know love
Where's the love y'all?
Where's the truth y'all?
I feel the weight of the world on my shoulder
As I'm getting older y'all people get colder
Most of us only care about money makin
Selfishness got us followin the wrong direction
Wrong information always shown by the media
Negative images is the main criteria
Infecting their young minds faster than bacteria
Kids wanna act like what the see in the cinema
Whatever happened to the values of humanity
Whatever happened to the fairness and equality
Instead of spreading love, we're spreading anomosity
Lack of understanding, leading us away from unity
That's the reason why sometimes I'm feeling under
That's the reason why sometimes I'm feeling down
It's no wonder why sometimes I'm feeling under
I gotta keep my faith alive, until love is

13th day of Bahar
Some 25 of us decided to enjoy the 13th day of Bahar in Toronto Islands, specifically Centre Island. Playing soccer, vassati, barbequing chicken and eating all sorts of goodies, hot tea in the cold weather with the company of great friends made our sunday the best. Ofcourse the aftermass is the muscle ache, skin burns and chill that takes a week to come out of my system;)but truely a memorable day. On monday night I heard that one of my dear friends, Rouin, has passed away. He had Leukimia and despite his hope and courage for 27 month, his body gave up when the high dose of chemo for bone transplant were administered to him. His ceremony will be on saturday and I will be participating in Zoroasteriam ceremony. May his soul rest in peace, His smile, his courage will be my example, in his very short life, he was a great friend with tons of courage to move to unknown and try different things. We will miss you.

http://www.saleshelp.com
Persian culture, is rich with different bahavioural puzzles. Livinging in Canada has made me free from those puzzles and gave the chance to practice kindness, thoughtfullness, respect from my culture. I learned to be direct in Canada to avoid misunderstandings. I learned that miscommunication due to different preceptions of things due to individual history, culture and language is common. So I learned to be as careful as possible when I speak, to make sure my listener knows exactly what I am talking about. That has made me free of twisting people's words for myself, thinking that they might have different meanings. I always try to take people as they are, and not to take what they are saying about certain things that are part of my life, personal. It took me 8 years now, since I have been in this multiculture country, that I have been practicing and learning and keep on learning, on how to make my life and people around me less complicated with misunderstandings. This is no easy task, again for me to learn more, I had to keep quite and listen, truely listen to what is spoken. Think. and then act on it. There were times, that I was speaking with haste when I was a teenager. But I am glad that I am growing up and my experiences are making me a better person every day.

Stupid Girls- Pink
The new pink track-stupid girls- is trying to voice up a concern toward the young generation watching the media and trying to find a role model for themselves. I admire her sence of responsibilty and her action toward it. I truely beilieve that artists and famous people, who people listen to, have a big responsibilty toward the progressing of the society. Below is a part of, stupid girls.
Stupid girl, stupid girls, stupid girls
Maybe if I act like that, that guy will call me back
What a paparazzi girl, I don't wanna be a stupid girl
Go to Fred Segal, you'll find them there
Laughing loud so all the little people s
tare
Looking for a daddy to pay for the champagne
What happened to the dreams of a girl president
She's dancing in the video next to 50 Cent
They travel in packs of two or three
With their itsy bitsy doggies and their teeny-weeny tees
Where, oh where, have the smart people gone?
Oh where, oh where could they be?
Maybe if I act like that, that guy will call me back
What a paparazzi girl, I don't wanna be a stupid girl
Baby if I act like that, flipping my blond hair back
Push up my bra like that,
I don't wanna be a stupid girl
Disease's growing, it's epidemic
I'm scared that there ain't a cure
The world believes it and I'm going crazy
I cannot take any more
I'm so glad that I'll never fit in
That will never be me
Outcasts and girls with ambition
That's what I wanna see
Disasters all around
World despaired
Their only concernWill they **** up my hair

Emotional Vs. Logical
Emotional:A person who determine or actuate by emotion rather than reason.
Logical:A person capable of or reflecting the capability for correct and valid reasoning
When I was younger, when I would get angery. I would get very very upset, which ended up in me crying by myself. Later I discovered writing my emotions and why I am upset and angry will reduce my level of anger and makes me calm down. It has been a few years and now that I look back I feel I have gone a long way from a small girl who could not control her emotion to a young woman who is still striving to learn ways of keeping it calm. It is always easier when you are not face to face, to write a note and also defend yourself. But I still lack the courage to be face to face with a conflict. I find writing as soon as I am angry, then looking back at the note a few hours later, I can prove my points logically rather than emotionally. I can still be logicall to myself when I am upset but to myself, because I don't communicate efficiently while I am upset with others so it will end up to be an emotional statement, which as you see in the dictionary definition, not considered to be within reason. But I always wonder, would being logical all the time make a robot out of you?isn't being emotional part of being a human?

www.rexgoudie.com
Canadian Idol 3, Rex Goudie, has some cool lyrics. Here is his "Run" that is cruising down the chum chart! I must say that I have been very busy with my good friend birthday party on friday, my dad's b-day on sat. and our family friend party last night. It was great to see everyone that I somehow call my family here after a few month of absence;) Work is fine!solving mystries!I got job opportnuities!I got phone calls after the new year about a Quality Engineer position at ATS!seems interesting..Although one of my mentor's don't beilieve so!!and wants me to stick with pharma! This year with a permanent position that I have, I can cruise easier with my benefits. Also my love, my heart and my soul is by my side. His encouragemments and beileving in me, makes me the luckiest girl alive:)
Run-REX GOUDIE LYRICS
We're just two people
Riding in circle
That's spinning around
Just everyday people
Searching for something
We've Already Found
And I'm just a guy Who's in love with a girl
Not in front of me
Now you're so far away
And I need you right here in my arms
Baby just runTake a bus,
Take a Plane
Take a train
Baby just run Run as fast as you can
Girl you'll find your way back
'Cause no matter wherever you are
There's no place on this earth thats to far,
RunWe're just two people
Wishing that we were together tonight
Just everyday people
Trying to make sense of this puzzle called life
And I'm just a guy Who's in love with a girl
Not in front of me
Now you're so far away
And I need you right here in my arms
So baby just run
Take a bus,
Take a planeTake a train
Baby just run
Run as fast as you can
Girl you'll find your way back
'Cause no matter wherever you are
There's no place on this earth thats to far,
Run
Sooner or later it's over
Passing you by and it's gone
There's Not enough time left to wonder
If your where you belong
Take a bus,
Take a plane,
Take a train
So Baby just Run Take a bus,
Take A plane,
Take a train
Baby Just run
Run as fast as you can
Girl you'll find your way back
'Cause no matter wherever you are
There's no place on this earth thats too far,
Run

Norouz
I was so busy that I didn't have time to update. So now Happy Norouz with 2 days delay;). I wish the best for all my friends and whoever reads this blog. Hope all your dreams transforms to reality. Under The Azure Dome festival which 100s of people helped to organized, went smoothly and around 15000 people visited the festival. I was glad that among them were non-Iranians who came and told me personally that they enjoyed it alot. I, myself, tried to make the atmosphere more like an image of Iran, not modern, by wearing a traditional Iranian costum. My target audiance were Iranian kids who were born here or came here when they were young and make them interested in their culture and non-Iranians who visited the festival. I consider this festival a success and a big thumbs up to all the people who helped in any form or way:)

Spring
A few days left to spring and after ~9 years of living in Canada, this is the first year that I completely and uterly feel like Norouz is coming. The same feeling that I had while growing up in Iran. I guess one of the reasons is the mild weather and one can be the excitement of Azure Dome Festival! It's going to be fantastic and great. I hope more Non Iranian come to this festival so they can have a sence of our Norouz and culture. The coming weeks are going to be extra busy with Mohandes and Azure dome and parties!!can't wait for all the excitment!to tell you the trueth I am getting a bit board:P

Hard Rock Cafe
source:http://theband.hiof.no/band_pictures/ma_hrc_toronto_03-2002.html
Finally my friend and I had the pleasure of dining at Hard Rock Cafe last night. We meant to go there so many times but the timing was never good. The food was fine but what captures you most is the environment, the collection of clothing and musical instruments used by different artists. We saw nickel back guitar, Madonna's outfit in one her shows and etc. I recommend experiencing the fun in the cafe:)

Life Vs. Driving simulation
I have been thinking alot while driving to similarities between roads, drivers, behavious and construction. I can see a small version of life in this small process. For example, When you are entering to the high way through the ramp, which normally is only one lane, all drivers are back to back in a line. You can't by pass anyone, but as soon as you reach to the spot that you have detached lines you can change lane and by pass. Now, some people do it as soon as they get the chance, some people wait. You would think that the people who changed the lane first would get faster ahead since they have moved up with the more flowing traffic!but wait, there are exception to this rule, TRAFFIC, which in this case can be one of those occasions in life that you planned on but suddenly you see that things are not going with tht right paste. I have noticed that in some instances regardless of how many cars you by pass it is very possible that you all get to the destination with few seconds difference. So why race? why be aware of the surrounding and take the chances when opportunities become available?sometimes it works and some times it doesn't. Some times in life you get ahead and sometimes you go with the flow. Now sweating over an opportunity would not necessarily be worth it. Atleast that's what I have found. I like to be the winner all the time. But that's not possible!sometimes you have to keep your eyes on the prize and if it means that you will go with the flow now, but later would fly ahead then so be it. For example. On bayview and John heading north, if you keep on the right lane you would get ahead fast than if you take the left one, despite the fact that the left lane is suppose to be the faster moving one!!I have gathered lots of other examples by just observing, trial and error. Ofcourse there are drivers that think, they know the best and everyone is either slow or a fool!now, those drivers who take other's right of way, make me really mad.(and that's when it makes me think about becoming a police officer!). I have done some experiments of those situations too. Now lets say a driver took your right of way or broke the rule of not turing right on red light when the sign is there, I have noticed that the despite the fact that they think the are smart and could manage a few second to go ahead but still will be behind me!!why you ask? because like life, somepeople's ambition finishes with one win!but others keep on going!..To be continued.

Oscar
This weekend flew by way too fast!Saturday my friend and I watched ,Election, A teen movie, which I don't recommend!!and participated int he debate about the Prophet Mohammad's cartoon discussion. I think it's very interesting to hear that there are still people who think like I do! Afterwards tea at Tim Horton with the rest of the friends and head off to Swiss Chalet for dinner. Playing pool and foosball was the high lights of the night!!I enjoyed myself alot:) Sundy my friend and I did some tax calculations and tried to watch ,Being Julia, but no luck to finish it! since we had guests coming over and to help my mom:) we watched the Oscar with the guests and I should admit that under no other circumstance, I would have watched Oscar again alone!!I thin it would be completely waste of my sleeping hours;) I will watch it though with friends! But even if I don't watch it I will check for the ruslts to make sure my favorite actor and actresses have won:)

Death
It's always very hard to lose a friend. Specially if you lost them to death. Since there is no return. I keep thinking about him. How healthy he looked. How he was into right food and exercise. How I thought he would make it big. But he left all his dreams, his phD. defense, his kids and his wife. So sudden. Why is it that the moment we think we are okay, and will win, we get hit hardest? This post is to the memory of my dear friend, Amit, who I learned alot from him through all our discussions about life (2003-2004). You will be missed.
